Unb Becomes Media Partner of Global Portal

SINGAPORE, June 29 Asia Pulse - United News of Bangladesh (UNB) became a media partner of world's first Global Portal for students of journalism, media and communication from around the world launched by AMIC here during its 16th annual conference.

Dr Tony Tan, Chairman of Singapore Press Holdings and former Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore inaugurated the AMIC (Asian Media Information and Communication Centre) conference and World Journalism Education Congress.

The 4-day event that began on June 25 attracted some 400 journalism lecturers and media professionals from 45 countries. The Daily Star Editor Mahfuz Anam, UNB Chairman Amanullah Khan and UNB Chief Editor Enayetullah Khan from Bangladesh attended the conference.

The conference held deliberations on host of issues concerning development journalism and the media, journalism ethics and press freedom and media laws and regulations.
