NEW DELHI, July 6 Asia Pulse - Global telecom giant AT&T's Chairman and CEO Randall L Stephenson is coming to India next week and is scheduled to meet senior government officials and partners in its endeavour to expand operations in India.

AT&T, which offers International Long Distance (ISD) services in India in partnership with Mahindra Telecom and Investment Ltd - a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra (BSE:500520) - is planning to expand its operations here.

When contacted, AT&T India officials confirmed the visit but refused to give details. Stephenson would be accompanied by senior officials of AT&T.

The company is planning to start internet services for corporate clients by the end of this year and has already announced US$750 million investment in 2007 globally, including in India.
