Thailand, Vietnam Sign Agreement on Human TraffickingHANOI, March 25 Asia Pulse - Thailand's new prime minister Samak Sundaravej met his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung on Monday and witnessed a signing of an agreement designed to stop human trafficking between the two countries. The two leaders conferred regarding increased cooperation in trade, foreign investment, education, health and transportation, according to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA). Prime Minister Samak and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung witnessed the signing of a pact focusing on human trafficking, which international agencies say is growing not only in Southeast Asia's ASEAN states, but in other parts of the world.
Mr Samak is to visit Indonesia on Tuesday and Wednesday, and travel to the Philippines and Brunei in early April. (TNA-OANA)
