US STOCKS-Wall St ends down with Countrywide, oil over $120NEW YORK, May 5 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks ended lower on Monday on worry that Bank of America Corp may walk away from buying troubled lender Countrywide Financial Corp , while oil's jump to a record above $120 a barrel stoked worry about consumer spending. Based on the latest available data, the Dow Jones
industrial average fell 88.66 points, or 0.68 percent,
to end unofficially at 12,969.54. The Standard & Poor's 500
Index slipped 6.42 points, or 0.45 percent, to finish
unofficially at 1,407.48. The Nasdaq Composite Index
dropped 12.87 points, or 0.52 percent, to close unofficially
at 2,464.12.
