American Institute in Taiwan Recruits Buyers for US Food ExpoTAIPEI, May 7 Asia Pulse - The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) is recruiting for an International Buyer Program (IBP) that will attend the IFT Food Expo to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana June 28-July 1, according to an AIT press statement released Tuesday. "AIT Commercial Section sincerely invites professionals, importers and distributors who plan to purchase U.S. products to participate in the International Buyer Program to the IFT Food Expo," the press release said.
This year, IFT Food Expo will have the theme of "Driving Growth and Sustainability through Innovation, " which will help the food industry in terms of both business growth and environmental sustainability at a time when there is a global shortage of food and skyrocketing food prices, the AIT said. IFT Food Expo, the biggest food event in the world, showcases the latest trends and newest product innovations in the food industry. The event attracts top food science and technology and industry professionals from around the world, especially those with roles in procurement, research and development, and marketing. This show covers all aspects of the food industry, including food materials, additives, spices, food technology, food analysis services, lab equipment, food processing equipment, food packaging equipment and supplies. There are also four specialty pavilions on the expo floor that showcase emerging industry trends such as healthy food ingredients, organic food ingredients, food safety and quality, and international foods. AIT said local businesses and importers who join the IBP through the AIT Commercial Section can enjoy multiple value-added services, including help with the admission process and business matchmaking services at the Expo. Participants will also receive complimentary admission to the IFT Food Expo.
