475 Milk Centres Set up for Poor in Pakistani Provinces

ISLAMABAD, May 14 Asia Pulse - Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) in collaboration with Engro Food has set up 475 milk collection centres in Sindh and Punjab Provinces where four hundred thousand liters milk is being collected daily.

An official of the Fund said in Islamabad Sunday that under the pilot project, milk plants have been set up in Sukkur and Sahiwal with an installed capacity of three hundred thousand liters milk.

He said the aim of the project is to build links between corporate-private sector and the poor communities in the rural areas with income generation opportunities and to improve living standard of the people. (PPI)
