US STOCKS-Wall St extends gains as inflation worry ebbsNEW YORK, May 14 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks extended gains on Wednesday, sending the Dow and the Nasdaq up 1 percent, as government inflation data eased concerns the Federal Reserve might have to raise interest rates. The Dow Jones industrial average shot up 127.91
points, or 1.00 percent, to 12,960.09. The Standard & Poor's
500 Index climbed 13.06 points, or 0.93 percent, to
1,416.10. The Nasdaq Composite Index climbed 27.97
points, or 1.12 percent, to 2,523.09.
