Arcelor Mittal Eyeing Indonesian Cable Maker Jembo

JAKARTA, July 2 Asia Pulse - Publicly listed cable maker PT Jembo Cable Company (JSX:JECC) is included in the list of companies, the world's largest steel maker Arcelor Mittal wants to acquire, a report said.

Mittal, which has failed to acquire a stake in the state-owned steel company PT Krakatau Steel, will buy Jembo at premium price including through secondary market, company source told the newspaper Investor Daily.

Good performance recorded by Jembo in the first half of the year have pushed up its share prices and attracted buyers, the paper reported.

It said a number of local and foreign investment managers have also indicated interest in the shares of Jembo.
