Sales of Mitsubishi Cars in Indonesia Projected to Triple

Correction: Corrects US dollar amount in headline and first

JAKARTA, July 15 Asia Pulse - Mitsubishi car agent PT Kramayudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) is set to triple its sales of Mitsubishi passenger cars in Indonesia to 3,000 units this year from 1,000 units last year.

KTB has launched three new models of passenger cars -- Lancer EX 2.0. Lancer Evo and Pajero 3.8 V in an Indonesian Motor Show now being held in Jakarta.

Mitsubishi has been a leader in commercial car market but has a small share of passenger car market in the country.

KTB Marketing Director Rizwan Alamsjah said the company is set to develop a good image in the market of passenger cars.

Alamsjah acknowledged the sales target is small saying we are not aiming for a high figure but we are focusing on developing a good image.

Mitsubishi total sales surged 60 per cent to 43,500 units in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year largely thanks to good sales of truck Fuso and Cold Diesel.
