Outstanding track record? Absolutely

By dollardex.com

Schroder ISF EMD Absolute Return Fund could help investors reduce risk and maintain diversification away from equities. The fund has an absolute return approach with a 10 year track record, delivering over 10% p.a since 1998*.

  • The fund aims to deliver high returns with low volatility (3-4% annualized volatility over the last 3-5 years), while maintaining a low correlation to other products.
  • The SGD share class is hedged and will declare a quarterly payout of 7% p.a. (payouts are not guaranteed and might be changed in the event of extreme market conditions or at the discretion of the Directors of Schroder International Selection Fund. See prospectus for full details.)
  • Emerging markets bonds offer a large and highly diverse universe of securities, spanning 52 countries and 156 sectors. The bond markets in these countries are often inefficiently priced and less well-researched, resulting in considerable potential for adding value and creating opportunities for active managers like Schroders. However, the fund is benchmark unconstrained, thus is an Absolute Return Fund simply with Emerging Markets Debt as the underlying asset.
  • The fund also has the ability to hold up to 40% in cash - which is invaluable in times of crisis or uncertainty in the asset class.
  • "Absolute Return Funds" are managed with a view to generating a positive return (i.e. greater than zero) over a period of no more than 12 months. The investment manager will seek to generate such a return even in falling markets (or in expectation of falling markets) by either shorting (on a covered basis) the various sources of return and/or moving into cash and cash equivalents.
